Year 7 and 8 are working together to make art out of trash.  We decided to make birds or native animals related to HHS/Hornby Community.

 

I like the Pukeko as it is more colourful

We need to sort the rubbish by colour, then by shape and texture.

We have glass, plastic, cardboard, rubber and paper to recycle.

We are going to pick up rubbish from around our community.

I think that we will pick up a lot of trash that is black and white because the diet coke bottles are black and white.

I have joined the Hornby High School Community.

I chose Hornby High School community because I like Hornby High School and I now go to this school.

Explain one idea your interested in?

Helping the homeless people by making them food. The homeless people are people that are sitting on the sidewalk with cardboard signs. I can make food such as cupcakes, cakes, sandwhiches and given them fresh water.

How do you think you will achieve this idea?

By working with my group and asking them questions. I Could also fundraise. I could also make some baking at home with my mum.

Games with Gaylene

This morning I worked with Gaylene an RTLB. We played a card game like snap. The game was helping us get to know people. I liked the game because it was fun.

The Awesome Skeletal System

When does a skeleton laugh?  When you tickile its funny bone! I told you this joke because i I think the skeletal system is the most inpoment system because it helps you move.

Your skull your spine and your rib cage it protects your brain lungs heart and other organs.So without your skeleton your organs will get damaged.

The skeletal  system is the best because without it you would not be able to move.your bones gives your muscles a frame to join to.

Overall the skeletal system is the best because if you didint have it you would be flat. We should make sure that we look after our skeletal system by having mlik.

Hi and welcome back to another blog post today. I am going to tell you what we did to learn about the Human body. so first we did an experament  with food so we had  a bottel of water and we had to emptey out a little bit of water out. We are making blood. We put cheerios marshmallows and liquorice in the water bottle. They were meant to be the blood cells.
